This is my families project car. It is a 2004 350z with custom body kit, rims, tails, straight pipe exhaust, and cold air intake. Next planned upgrade is most likely a supercharger kit. Although the car is already very fast with just the stock motor. It would be a much better drift car with a supercharger. Then again, the tires are very expensive with the rim size, so would end up buying some cheap drift rims/tires.

Something is either wrong with the oil pressure gauge now, or with the oil pressure. The car reads about half the gauges PSI when it's not even started, so I believe it is just the gauge that has gone bad...

Searching several forums revealed it is likely the Oil Sending Unit that has gone bad, and nothing is really wrong with the car, other than that. smile.gif I will be purchasing a new OSU here soon, and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks, today I plan on modifying the cold air intake system and raising it up to a safer & more convienent area. Right now it's placed all the way towards the bottom. If you were to hit a large puddle of water it would suck water right into the engine... Need to clean the filter also.

Hopefully you will be using the Stillen supercharger kit? Also I was under the influence that it is infact an automatic transmission car, am I right? It's been a while since I've seen a picture of the CAI, but I recomend turning it, not raisng it.
By now I suppose you've figured out who is posting in your forum buddy. HA HA, Oh well.

Have not decided on the supercharger kit to use yet. Stillen is defintely one of the best choices though. Yes, the car is an automatic, with the optional standard automatic ability. No, I have idea who you are. smile.gif What is "CAI" by the way, and what did you mean by, "but I recomend turning it, not raisng it."? I don't know but my brother probably would. He just left though.

No, it was the Nissan Maxima we used to have that was traded in for this Nissan 350z. Is that what you were thinking about?

Oh, ok. I thought the 350z was traded in, and I wondered why on Earth you would trade it in for a Maxima.

We got the 350z for a very good deal on trade in with the Maxima. Think it was about $3000 extra cash for the trade. smile.gif As you probably know, dealerships can't jack the price up higher for the aftermarket stuff on the vehicle. Such as the wheels, tires, body kit, intake, etc...

The 350z has been sitting for a while now, because the rear tires are almost bald. Still take it for a quick drive at least once a week though. I just don't want to drive far away, and have a blow out on one of the rears. Thinking about buying new tires, but it's going to be costly... Such an awsome vehicle to drive, and I can't even drive it. sad.gif Oh well, I will get them replaced eventually. smile.gif

Long time since I last updated this thread. We did end up getting new tires for the 350z, which it's had on now for around five months. Unfortunitely one night while cruising I hit a dead dog in the road. This caused minor damage considering the dog was a huge rot. Decent sized crack in the front bumper, and one of the o2 sensors was torn out of the exhaust system. Shouldn't cost that much to repair, but for now the 350z is once again out of action... We are considering doing a new paint job. Have not exactly decided on color yet, but it will not be red.

You really are having a lot of car trouble, aren't you?

Why not red, I thought that looked really cool.

Oh and you hit the dog? I thought you said your brother hit the dog?

Yes, too many car troubles for one month... The red does look really nice on the 350z with that body kit, but I would rather have a different color. You know the statistics about red cars? It's like having a sign on your car that says, "Pull me over." My brother was the one driving at the time, but I covered for him, and said it was myself driving. Did that, because he has already damaged the 350z before by going over a speed bump too fast, and hitting the rear bumper. Definite clearance issues with how low the body kit is.

Yeah, I was just looking at how low it is a few minutes ago. Do those designers really care enough about the car being a little more aerodynamic to cost people money on repairs?

That's just the price you pay to have a very nice looking, and aerodynamic vehicle... smile.gif The body kit is more of a track design, so it is really low to the ground.

It should have a plow on the front of it though to clear the roads of stuff. rolleyes.gif
